A palatable source of fibre from the oat-milling industry for horses and ponies. Navfibre is high in fibre and low in starch making it an ideal non-heating feed for horses that hold weight well or are in lighter work.
Navfibre Pellets are available all year round, UK wide, as bulk tipped loads. Like all dry feeds, they should be stored in a secure shed, bunker, bin or hopper and kept cool, dry and free from vermin. As no external binders or additives are used in Navfibre, some pellet breakdown is expected during handing and delivery. Navfibre Pellets should be used within 2 months of delivery.
Navfibre Pellets are a co-product from the oat milling industry; whole oats are rolled and the husks removed by screening. Oatfeed Pellets consist predominantly of husks but also endosperm, small grains and screen dust which are finely ground together and pelleted.
Navfibre Pellets are a FEMAS assured (or a recognised equivalent) product and are marketed by Trident who are UFAS-accredited. Navfibre (Oatfeed Pellets) are listed under number 1.4.11 in the EU Catalogue of Feed Materials.
